It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas....

Visits with Santa are becoming the norm as we near the mid-December mark.

First visit was at BYC this weekend.
The four eldest Horne cousins were gracious enough to let the papparazzi snap some photos.

This was followed by breakfast with Santa this morning at the Gaylord National Harbor. The festivities began last night with a visit to their Ice exhibit. Other that the 10 degree temperatures, it was fantastic. Keeping it that cold is a good way to not melt the intricate ice sculptures, and ensures that no visitors dawdle their way through the tent.

There was even an ice slide to enjoy.

We then ventured down the harbor a bit to try out the Capital Wheel, which just opened this spring. Thankfully, the gondolas are climate-controlled, after our icey adventure prior.

Breakfast this morning did not disappoint. And the kids were thrilled to be 2nd in line to speak with the big man again. The line looked a bit like the one in the department store scene of "A Christmas Story". We were lucky. We got Santa when he was good and fresh.

The hotel was of course decked out for the holiday, the kids enjoyed a little hotel sleepover action, and of course, getting to skip school.

Here's hoping Santa's sack is big enough to hold their wish list come Christmas Eve,
