Father's Day Weekend Bonus Post

Thought we'd share some of the pics that made the cutting room floor when we recapped our past two weekends. Enjoy!
Crabs were on the menu at the picnic on Saturday. Kacy is getting quite good at picking her own.

Daniel chilling out on the way to the beach Sunday.
And catching some rays.
Fishing on Uncle Matt and Aunt Alyssa's pier.
The boys.
Cousin Henry was too cute not to include.

Roaring Into Summer

Sorry for the delay. Not much blogging going on while Dave and I were running around the Mediterranean on my company's corporate trip. That was May. June is here. Let's start with last weekend.

The pool is open! We got suited up and headed to BYC for some fun with friends.
After sun and swimming, we headed back to our house for pizza and birthday cake. Kacy and Jack as always were partners in crime.
 Miss Gia.
Birthday girl Abby.
There was cake to celebrate Shelley and Abby's big day (shared) on June 9.
Kate was a fan.

Fast forward to this past weekend....
The Haines company picnic fell on what will probably be looked back on as the most gorgeous Saturday of summer. Sunny and 75.

Face-painting and charicatures were on the to do list. We are thinking of hiring the artist to come to our house on a regular basis as this was the longest waking-hour stretch Daniel has been quiet in a while.
He chose to be drawn as a monster truck driver. I am sure many of you are shocked.

There were kayaks to give a whirl. Both kids were in love.

To round out the day, my good sports participated in the pie eating contest. No winners here, just faces full of pie.

For Father's Day, Dave wanted to spend the day with the fam and go fishing. We headed south to Chesapeake Beach for the day.

Thankfully we had bathing suits and beach toys in the car to keep Daniel occupied after his 10 minutes of fishing fun. Kacy joined after waiting patiently (with no action) for quite a bit longer. Daddy didn't get a big catch but had a nice day on the pier.
We hope everyone had a great Father's Day!
